In 2023, the third generation fuel cell system will be launched, available with both 100kW and 200kW specifications. In 2028, it will become the first automaker in the world to equip all its commercial models with fuel cell systems.

Fuel Cell Topics: Thanks to Kewell's Test System, CAIC's 120kW Fuel Cell Stack was Activated Successfully

Recently, China Automotive Innovation, aka CAIC, has independently developed their own fuel cell stack at 120kW. To kick off its application, they sought out to Kewell to find ultimate solution. . This high-power fuel cell stack was designed and developed by CAIC on their own, featuring many core technologies and intellectual properties. The stack adopts the integrated manufacturing technique of injection molding, which simplifies its structure and optimizes the overall assembly solution while maintaining the performance of the stack. . The 150kW stack test system, on the other hand, was independently developed by Kewell. It was designed to provide a stable test platform for fuel cell stack. At the site of CAIC, the stack test system had successfully helped its test object to reach to 120kW for the first run, with peak power as much as 140kW. The testing was smooth with normal control over the water temperature.
