Highlighting breakthroughs in test power supply technology, Kewell showcases its latest groundbreaking products at the 2024 SNEC

On June 13, 2024, the SNEC 17th International Photovoltaic Power Generation and Smart Energy Conference & Exhibition [SNEC PV POWER EXPO] was grandly opened at National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai, where Kewell showcased its complete series of products.

High-voltage, high-frequency, and high-power solutions

At the exhibition, Kewell launched the new A2000 series bi-directional programmable AC power supply for testing the grid-connected performance of photovoltaic inverters and PCS. This series supports simulation of utility grid voltage, degradation of grid power quality, variations in grid voltage, grid voltage sag, and other scenarios in various countries and regions.

Among them, the A2000-HV series boasts significantly enhanced technical parameters, including a 900VL-N high-voltage output and a high dynamic response of less than 800us, which meets the requirements of 1.3-times high-voltage ride-through (HVRT) test for high-voltage grid connection. Featuring Kewell’s proprietary K-BOX control system, it supports flexible parallel connection of multiple devices, with a single device power of 500kVA and a maximum expandable capacity to 10MW, while ensuring stable parallel performance. The A2000 series adopts full SiC design and modularized hardware, achieving an ultra-high power density of 294kVA/m³. It is therefore compact, lightweight, and user-friendly. With high stability, a simple structure, high maintainability, and a shortened manufacturing cycle, this series is expected to effectively improve industrial efficiency.

At the same time, to meet the industry’s higher demands for power density, output frequency, and versatility of test power supplies, Kewell also introduces at the exhibition the G9000 series bi-directional programmable AC source-load system of 3U/25KVA ultra-high power density . The series pioneers the industry with excellent performance, including an ultra-wide frequency range of 15-5000Hz, a high voltage slew rate of ≥3V/us, and an ultra-high dynamic response of 800us.
